    Responsible for identifying new projects and initiatives designed to improve efficiency and/or achieve cost savings across Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS). Manages multiple complex and broad scale projects from discovery phase through implementation. Provides technical expertise and guidance to work team members regarding the most efficient means of achieving cost savings and quality process improvement. Develops and maintains the ICG department's quality control and reporting and analysis protocols.



    • 1. Working in conjunction with departmental resources, identifies areas of opportunity for improvement. Develops qualitative and quantitative analysis to support recommendations.
    • 2. Collects data to support value-add improvements in clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies and/or improved financial performance. Develops meaningful and impactful analysis based on collected data to support changes in operations.
    • 3. Prepares business proposals and presentation to effectively communicate analysis to appropriate stakeholders, including board members, committees, executive leadership and senior management and gain support/ buy-in of suggested improvements.
    • 4. Develops detailed project plans to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of process improvements. Responsible for managing assigned team (internal ICG staff as well as team members in other departments) to ensure project plan objectives remain on target and are achieved in accordance with the project plan deadlines .
    • 5. Facilitates meetings with senior leadership across departments and/or delivery networks to ensure the effective communication of project objectives.
    • 6. Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with senior leadership across the health system.
    • 7. Responsible for educating and mentoring project team members to improve the efficiency of the team's performance. Provides coaching and counseling to more junior staff members to facilitate their professional development.
    • 8. Responsible for developing budgets associated with assigned projects and assists other ICG consultants with budgets for their projects.
    • 9. Responsible for successfully working with departments to modify departmental policies and procedures to ensure on-going performance improvements.
    • 10. Upon the successful completion of assigned projects, responsible for developing the appropriate analytical tools to track performance on an on-going basis.
    • 11. Ensures effective cross-project communication occurs within the ICG department as well as across affected departments throughout the health system.
    • 12. Conducts timely orientation and annual performance reviews on assigned staff; counsels and develops performance improvement plans as required.
    • 13. Leads by example, successfully demonstrating the personal attributes defined in the Yale New Haven Health System Mission, Vision and Values.
    • 14. Actively participates in and supports the development, mentoring and coaching of staff.
    • 15. Understands YNHHS vision, goals and strategies and communicates to others. Able to set clear goals and directions.




    Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, finance or related field is required.




    Minimum of ten plus years professional work experience, preferably in healthcare or management consulting.. Experience in data analysis, reporting and effective presentation required. Previous project management and leadership experience required. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.




    Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively conduct various types of analysis including: process, marketplace, organizational financial, operational and staffing. Demonstrated ability to organize resources and establish priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to navigate across departments and delivery networks to achieve results. Demonstrated ability to successfully resolve complex problems across multiple departments and/or delivery networks. Serves as the department?s subject matter expert and resources in area of expertise (patient care, finance, operations etc.)




    Must have the ability to travel to various sites across the health system.
