    Responsible for guiding and coordinating the efforts of assigned project workgroups. Provides project coordination and administrative support for departmental functions. Works both collaboratively and independently to support the departmental and organizational needs.

    Responsibilities

    1. Coordinates and monitors project work plan and milestones to ensure timely completion and implementation.
    2. Manages and monitors project work plan and ensures that project milestones are met by the pre-determined completion date.
    3. Coordinates all project communication demonstrating timely, clear, appropriate communication through all mediums of written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    4. Anticipates issues and works with the team to swiftly mitigate the impact of these issues on project plan and deadlines.
    5. Implements project work with relevant departments as assigned.
    6. Facilitates collaboration and effective decision-making between all project stakeholders.
    7. Prepares reports, analyses, and presentations utilizing all Microsoft Office software products , including Excel and Power Point.
    8. Facilitates the various Infection Prevention Committee meetings as assigned; coordinates meeting arrangements, prepares and distributes agenda, minutes and other communications.
    9. Performs various departmental duties as assigned by the supervisor to enhance the efficient operation of the department.
    10. Actively participates in huddles, staff and departmental meetings.
    11. Coordinates departmental events.
    12. Provides administrative support and performs other duties as requested.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION

     

    Associate's degree in healthcare or a business related field required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

     

    EXPERIENCE

     

    Three years of experience in a healthcare setting required, experience in Infection Prevention strongly preferred.

     

    SPECIAL SKILLS

     

    Ability to organize resources and establish priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment. Knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical workflow, operating systems, policies and procedures. Ability to organize, lead and hold self and others accountable. Ability to delegate effectively. Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and consultants at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of project management software tools as well as strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
