Overview

To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values. These values—integrity, patient-centered, respect, accountability, and compassion—must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.

The Administrative Fellowship is a unique training program meant for masters’ level health care administration graduates who are interested in a career in health care management. The application process and interviews for the YNHHS Fellowship occur in the fall each year, and fellows begin their two-year program each July.

Required components of the application process include:

  • Complete the online administrative fellow application, found at www.ynhhs.org/careers (available August through October)
  • Submit required materials (by the first Monday in October) through the NAFCAS online application system (nafcas.liaisoncas.com): cover letter, resume, personal statement, essay question response, official graduate transcripts (in the Academic History Quadrant of the NAFCAS), unofficial undergraduate transcripts (under Program Materials Quadrant) and three letters of recommendation (in the Supporting Information Quadrant of NAFCAS).

For more details, please see https://www.ynhhs.org/about/administrative-fellowship.aspx.

The two-year Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) administrative fellowship program provides the Administrative Fellow with a valuable broad-based health systems experience. The Administrative Fellow will rotate among the System's four Delivery Networks (Yale-New Haven Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, and Northeast Medical Group), as well as spend time at the System level gaining exposure to corporate finance, human resources, strategic operations, and other corporate services. Project assignments are made at each Delivery Network and are based on initiatives underway during the Administrative Fellow's tenure, with an attempt to meet the specific interests and needs of the Administrative Fellow.
